Telecom Tophand
Job description
The Tophand is responsible for performing skilled work on telecom structures, including installing, maintaining, and repairing antennas, lines, and equipment. This role requires working at heights, following safety protocols, and ensuring quality workmanship. The Tophand reports to the Foreman and collaborates closely with the crew to complete projects efficiently and safely.
The position involves outdoor work and frequent travel throughout the USA, with potential trips lasting up to 10 consecutive days. Candidates must have a strong understanding of rigging, equipment installation, and general tower maintenance.
Licenses and certifications Needed Before First Day of Work
- Driver's licenses
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- NWSA certification
- Experience working at heights
- 3+ years of experience as a telecom tophand
